The Treehouse
Our treehouse is situated in the middle of Norfolk amongst unspoilt countryside. It is seven miles from both the market towns of Dereham to the South and Fakenham to the north. Small country roads surround the treehouse, ideal for walking and exploring; The perfect location for experiencing the beautiful and varied Norfolk coastline, the wildlife haven of the Norfolk Broads and the stunning cathedral city of Norwich with its Norman castle and medieval shopping lanes. Arrive by train to the nearest train stations at Norwich, Downham Market and Kings Lynn. The treehouse itself sits over Panford Beck, nestled on the edge of its own three-acre private woodland and wildflower meadow. The treehouse is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion
Start the day with breakfast on the deck within the trees with the dawn chorus serenading. The afternoon spent relaxing in the sun on the wildflower seat watching the butterflies flying amongst the traditional flowers and grasses. And draw the day to a close with a relaxing soak in the hot tub watching the unspoilt dark sky and the owls keeping guard.

- Please note that at various times of the year there may be tractor/machinery activity surrounding the site
- One bag of firewood per day is provided. Extra can be purchased onsite for £5 per bag

- Space for 1 baby (babes in arms). A travel cot is not provided, please bring your own equipment
- Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited within the treehouse, we do allow smoking and vaping on the decks with care

With deep roots in the local land, both of our families have been farming in Norfolk for generations, stretching all the way back to the 17th century.
The idea for the treehouse began a few years ago as a way to diversify the farm and help secure its future for the next generation. We wanted to create something unique and low-impact, and we knew instantly where it belonged: nestled in a native woodland we had planted years prior to celebrate the birth of our first child; we knew our guests would love this little pocket of quiet and calm.
Turning the dream into a reality wasn’t easy. After two years of planning and determination, building finally began in late 2020. Constructing a treehouse through both a national lockdown and one of the wettest Norfolk winters on record was a massive challenge, but by the summer of 2021, we finally opened our doors, with every generation of the family, pitching in to help.
We passionately believe that Panford Beck should gently blend into its surroundings. Our philosophy is simple: to let the treehouse adapt to the nature around it, and to let the wilderness tell its own story. Today, we continue to carefully manage the woodland and wildflower meadow, encouraging the local wildlife thrive.
