Fakenham is a small market town seven miles from the treehouse. Eight miles from Fakenham is Creake Abbey farmers market, taking place on the first Saturday of the month you will also Creake Abbey shopping centre. Six miles from Fakenham you will find the spectacular Thursford Christmas show which is a mix of singing, dancing, humour and variety. Historic Walsingham is five miles from Fakenham with a long history of pilgrimage dating back to the 11 century after the vision of the virgin Mary from lady Walsingham, a replica of Nazareth was built upon her request, this become a place of prayer and reconciliation and it was one of Europe’s great four Pilgrim places in the middle ages, and still a place of pilgrimage to this day.
